Grow Peace Interactive Projects are fun and educational for elementary-aged children.

Through these projects and the planting of succulents, children will:

  • Connect with nature

  • Utilize fine motor skills

  • Express creativity

  • Demonstrate problem-solving strategies

Each Interactive Project will include a brief lesson by Grow Peace discussing plant growth, cultivation, and care.

Project Options

Succulent Arrangement

Children will gain an understanding of how a plant grows and be able to plant a succulent in a terracotta pot. Children will use their creativity and fine motor skills to add decorative rocks to their arrangement.

Minimum Class Size: 15

Cost: $6 per child

Supply Fee: $10 per child

Includes: Plants, potting soil and 3 inch terracotta pot.

$8 if plastic planter is used.

Additional Staffing Fee: $18 per additional employee per hour.

Painting Garden Rocks

Children will use listening skills and fine motor skills to follow along with a Grow Peace staff to create a simple design on a rock that can be placed in a school garden or taken home.

Minimum Class Size: 20

Cost: $5 per child

Supply Fee: $5 per child

Includes: Paint, rocks, paint brushes, tablecloths for easy clean up

Additional Staffing Fee: $18 per additional employee per hour

School/community Center BEautification

Children will utilize teamwork, problem-solving, and conflict resolution while planting succulents in a school garden.

Children will learn the importance of maintaining school property and their part in improving the school environment. Children will be guided in a project to beautify their school and/or afterschool location.

Cost: $5 per child

Get together for some girl time with fun, refreshments, and a guided succulent arrangement.

Minimum Event Size: 10
